Dynamics 365 connection for enterprise teams on the Microsoft stack
The Dynamics 365 integration for Proposal Expert will link Opportunities, Accounts and Contacts in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales to your proposals. It is in development and not yet available. You will use it when your organisation runs on the Microsoft stack and wants to create proposals from an Opportunity, with account, contact, estimated revenue and products already filled in. Proposal Expert will then write the proposal status and value back to the Opportunity. Until then, use the CSV import or the API.
The integration will read the Opportunity (name, estimated revenue, sales stage, estimated close date), the related Account and the Contacts. Opportunity Products will become pricing rows in the proposal. Back to Dynamics go the proposal status and the signed amount, with a sales stage per status that you choose. Authentication runs through OAuth 2.0 with Microsoft Entra ID. Custom fields on Opportunity and Account will use the same field mapping as the HubSpot and Salesforce integrations.
When the integration goes live, you will connect Dynamics 365 from Settings > Integrations, sign in and map the fields. You can start today: export Opportunities and Contacts from Dynamics as CSV and import them into Proposal Expert, or create proposals through the Proposal Expert API. Sign up for early access on the contact page and we will tell you as soon as you can test it. We will only announce a release date once it is fixed.
An enterprise team on Dynamics 365 writes proposals in Word templates today and updates Opportunities afterwards. Sales ops spends time every week reconciling amounts. With the integration the proposal starts from the Opportunity, the account executive sees in Dynamics when the client opens it, and signature marks the Opportunity as won with the signed amount. Until release, the CSV import delivers a large part of the drafting time savings, and the e-signature with audit trail is available already.
